by jmoosec2. Looking for something loud and fast. I'm stuck in the in-between and can't afford a super AR. So after much research I've narrowed it down to these two very different but similar cars. I love the power of the hellcat and the beauty and sound of the f-type V8. However, every other day I wake up and have my decision made on one of them.
Overall Reliability. NA. We expect the 2024 F-Type to be less reliable than other new cars. This prediction is based on Jaguar's brand history. The 2019 Jaguar F-Type has been recalled 2 times by

Ze Germans were almost consistently the least reliable in most categories although the Jag E-pace was also shit. That said the best executive car on the

. From what I've seen, they've been very reliable since 2009 with the XF and parts for the XF are no where near as pricey as a German equivelant. The reality is, Covid notwithstanding, Jaguar all by itself sells a ballpark figure of 200,000-230,000 cars per year. The reputation for Jaguar unreliability (mechanically) is something I have yet to see with friends and family who have had/have a number of the final generation of XJ, XE, and the first generation XF. The user interface/screen may be frustrating, but the rest of the car has a high chance of being great.
