ACOrigins: a reboot to the franchise, showing the origins history of brotherhood and introducing RPG elements. AC Odyssey: a game definitely made for being STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL, but don't have any connections to the AC franchise. AC Valhalla: made to be a better RPG game and to be more assassin's inside the franchise.
1- Origins 2 - Valhalla 3 - Odyssey I'd pick all 3 of them and play whenever you are able to. What I hated most about Odyssey was the Bounty feature as it was rather annoying after a few hours, and the inventory was a cluttered mess. Skill Tree I liked most in Origins, Abilities were best in Odyssey, Inventory best in Valhalla.
Odysseyhad a lot of water involved which the rivers in Valhalla replicate in size. I would say Odyssey was a longer game, but that’s also likely because I was so much keener to see and complete all of it to platinum. Didn’t get the same draw with ACV as great a game as it still is. 1. wormyshroom.
Completingan area leaves an X mark on the parchment-like map, contributing to a visual system that is simpler and more period-appropriate than in Origins. Diving into the gameplay of Assassin's Creed Origins and Assassin's Creed Valhalla reveals that the difference in the content that sprinkles the world is far more than aesthetic.
Themo-cap for Odyssey was better than Valhalla by a mile IMO. Valhalla had a better AC storyline than Odyssey but again, not very great. There were few memorable side missions out of many in Odyssey. Valhalla entirely removed side missions but compensated for this with some side activities and encounters that did seem like a welcome change.
. ACValhalla Map vs Origins vs Odyssey Size Comparison. Greece will take some beating. It isnt just the size I found it to be one of my favourite open worlds to explore. love the fact that the game has a bigger land mass than Origins (which was full of empty deserts) but Odyssey seems to still be the king in terms of Open world scale.
Valhallaplays more like AC than Odyssey, in my opinion. Odyssey looks beautiful, but you could drop the Assassin's Creed from the title because other than the story, there's nothing that feels like Assassin's Creed. Literally, without the modern day story, you could say that Odyssey's not even an AC game. 2.
Originsis far better connected to the AC lore. The environment in Origins has more contrast between lush and dry zones, making things stand out better. In Odyssey everything is lush and pretty so it loses specialness at times. In Egypt it's big deserts and then finding an oasis, a city, or the Nile valley. Wow!
DomEReapeROct 23, 2021 @ 7:54pm. Origins was the start of something great that Odyssey brought to life and perfected, then Valhalla was a big step back. I'd recommend all three in order but if you only want to play
Iagree with most of this. I love the modern AC games, but preferred Origins and Odyssey to Valhalla. Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece are more interesting to me than 9th century England, and Bayek and Cass were more compelling than (either) Eivor. Cassandra especially is just the best. One of my favorite video game characters ever.
